About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Emma, the independent developer who operates Yuna (“Yuna”, “we”, “us”). They apply to the Yuna website, apps and related services (the “Service”).

By creating an account, making a purchase or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What Yuna is, and isn't

Yuna calculates BaZi (Four Pillars) charts from the birth details you provide and offers readings, answers and related content based on those charts.

The Service is intended for entertainment and self-reflection. It does not predict events, and it is not a substitute for professional advice. Nothing on Yuna is medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice. Do not rely on it for decisions about your health, safety, money or legal matters, and seek a qualified professional where appropriate.

We don't promise any particular outcome from using the Service.

Who can use Yuna

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to create an account or make a purchase.

Your account

You can try parts of the Service without an account. For purchases and saved charts you'll need one. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.

You're responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.

Birth data and other content you provide

You keep ownership of what you submit, including birth details, questions and messages (“Your Content”). You give us permission to store and process Your Content to provide and improve the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you enter someone else's birth details, for example for a compatibility reading, you confirm that you're entitled to share them and that the person would reasonably expect it.

AI-generated content

Readings and chat answers are generated with the help of artificial intelligence models provided by third parties. AI output can be incomplete, inconsistent or wrong. Treat it as a perspective to consider, not as fact.

You may use readings generated for you for personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing them with friends.

Purchases and subscriptions

Prices are shown in US dollars, except for Alipay purchases, which are priced in Chinese yuan (CNY). USD payments are processed by Dodo Payments or PayPal, each acting as the merchant of record for your purchase; their terms also apply to the payment, and they calculate and collect any applicable sales tax or VAT.

For accounts based in mainland China, we also offer Alipay as a payment method. Alipay purchases are one-time membership purchases only — they do not renew automatically — and Yuna, not Alipay, is the seller of record for them.

Yuna Plus bought with Dodo Payments or PayPal is a subscription that renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price until you cancel. We'll tell you in advance about any price change, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

You can cancel a Dodo Payments or PayPal subscription anytime from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your membership and any included readings remain available until the end of the current paid period.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• break the law, or use the Service to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
• try to access other people's accounts or data;
• interfere with, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service;
• resell the Service or use it to build a competing product;
• submit content that you don't have the right to share.

Our intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, text and trademarks, belongs to us or our licensors. Apart from the personal use of readings described above, these Terms don't give you any rights in it.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of content. Some jurisdictions don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Where reasonable we'll warn you first. If we close your account without cause, we'll refund any prepaid, unused subscription time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we'll notify you by email or in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts.
